Pretty darn good out there. Rainy and cold today. The trico hatch should be better later on this week with warmer temperatures forecasted. The cooler mornings have delayed the hatch for a while. There are still bugs, just not a ton of fish up. They’ll be back later this week, I promise. Nymph fishing has been solid. Fish are where they’re supposed to be. Standard bugs, nothing out of the ordinary here. Sow bugs, scuds, sunken tricos, pseudos. Shorten up the nymph rig a little bit, 5-6 feet of leader. With clouds and smoke in the air streamers are a good choice right now. Smaller bugs are getting the most eats. Just get out on the river and enjoy the day.
