Jim Arthur
Jim Arthur is an Outfitter & Guide and has called the Bighorn his home since 2020. Jim
has pursued fish on the fly for over 30 years, including several years on the Kenai River
in Alaska. He visited and fished the Bighorn for several years, before settling in Fort
Smith to begin his business here. Jim is known for his easy-going personality, passion
for the river, and ability to patiently teach the sport to newcomers, as well as challenge
the seasoned angler. You’re sure to enjoy your time on the river with Jim!

Scott Brown
Born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, I’ve spent my entire life exploring Bighorn waters, developing a deep passion for fly fishing in one of the best fisheries in the country. But more than just casting a line, my true joy comes from sharing this incredible sport with others.
As a dedicated family man and experienced guide, I take pride in not only putting people on fish but also teaching them the art of fly fishing. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or picking up a fly rod for the first time, I love helping others experience the thrill of a tight line and the beauty of the Bighorn. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the excitement on someone’s face when they land a fish—it’s what keeps me on the water every day.

Jefferson Cobb
Jay’s passion for fly fishing started at a young age with bluegill and bass in Alabama ponds. Moving to Colorado at the age of ten ignited a love for chasing trout anywhere he could find them. After moving back east and guiding in North Carolina for a few years he just couldn’t wait to get back to the big rivers out west. Jay is a great instructor and loves getting new anglers started as well as helping more seasoned anglers hone their skills.
